What did I do in the Reading Break..?

As I planed before, I went to Vancouver with my friend two Fridays ago. After we arrived there we met our friend who came from Halifax to join us in this trip. Then, we lived in a motel which is located in Robson street. This street has a lot of beautiful stores that have different kinds of goods. Also, this street is close to other famous roads Such as: Burrard St which has some coffee shops and apparel stores, Granville Rd which has a good night life. In the first couple days we spend some times in shopping malls. I bought some light clothes to the summer. Each day we eat in different type of restaurant. For example, the first day we ate in Mongolian restaurant, second day we ate in Arabic restaurant, etc.. Plus, we went to the tallest handmade bridge in Vancouver "Whistler bridge" it was very exciting. I really enjoyed looking at the skyscrapers, especially at night cause you'll see the lights come out of these building and reflected on the sea surface. Despite this, Vancouver has a lot of rain during the year. However, it was sunny and clear all the days when I was there.

Moreover, we decided to go to Victoria Tuesday morning and we did actually. We woke up at 7 a.m, after that we had some breakfast. Then we went to BC ferries station. I was very excited to have a trip on a ferry. So, we arrived to Victoria at 9 a.m. Next, we went directly to the Downtown. We had our lunch there. After that we went to the Royal London Wax Museum. there you can see famous people made by wax,it's very interesting. Also we took some pictures in front of very old and historical buildings and palaces. So, that what I have did in the Reading Break vacation.

What are you planning to do in the Reading Break..?

I hear a lot of good things about Vancouver, especially its warm weather during the winter season comparing to other Canadian cities. Plus, the skyscrapers that this city has. Also, the shopping centers which have different types of famous brand names.Actually, I'm really excited to visit this city at the reading break vacation. So, I have planed to spend ten days there by living in a motel close to Downtown. I'm thinking to spend less money on accommodation to have the opportunity to spend more on the entertainment activities as well as shopping and food. I heard that Vancouver's restaurants have very tasty food and so many types as well, such as: Chines, Arabic,Indian, Mongolian, etc..

After I arrive their I'll choose one day to visit Victoria. I heard about it too. I know that it has museums usually the tourist are interested in. So, I might devote some time to visit these museums. Moreover, Victoria is a quite city which I like to spend some time there by walking beside the ocean or ride a bicycle and drive between the gardens. Also, there is a gorgeous gardens have many kinds of flowers and roses in different shapes and colors. Hopefully these gardens are open cause I heard it will open in the first of March. So this is my plan for the Reading Break vacation. It might change, How knows..

The Differences Betweem the Saudi Universities and TRU

Long time ago, many universities have been competing for being one of the best universities around the world. In other word, these universities have been racing to achieve an excellent rate among others. In addition, this rate is based on the quality of their systems, graduates students, and professors. However, there are some developed countries had passed many countries from the third world, in knowledge, development, and so on. To make this point more clear, lets see the differences between KSU in Saudi Arabia, which is the university that I graduated from and TRU in Canada, the one that I currently study my master in.

I believe most of people might agree if they are going to get something for free they will have a hard time to achieve it, and that what are we suffering at KSU. Apparently, the students have some difficulties to find some on to assist them. Moreover, the relations between the proof and the student are determined on lectures mostly. However, in TRU, you can find a lot of assistance are more than happy to help you such as: Information desk, TRU world, and other departments. Even the relations between the students and their instructors are more closely than KSU that you can contact them by e-mail and phone which is very helpful for the students.

To be hones, KSU has a good staff of professors as well as a beneficial academic materials, but the problem is that the responsible people haven't show up an obvious strategic to the university future. Also, they need to cooperate with some companies so the student can do a training job while they are study like what TRU doing and the Canadian universities in general.
